Matt Scullen, CFA

Matt Scullen joined The Ancora Group in March, 2012 as an Institutional Equities Analyst.  He is primarily responsible for researching and monitoring individual stocks in the firm’s Micro Cap equity investment strategy. Matt runs screens to identify undervalued stocks, reviews critical factors, characteristics and catalysts to determine valuation and monitors progress for changes. He also provides analytical support for alternative investments and special projects. 

Prior to joining Ancora, Matt worked as the Financial Assistant at Wall Street Money Managers Inc. He assisted clients with asset allocation and retirement planning decisions across a wide variety of account types and investment products, including advice to 401(k) plan sponsors and participants. Matt played an important role in researching mutual funds, stocks and bonds for client portfolios. In addition, Matt owned and operated Liberty Analytics LLC, an independent RIA firm where he actively managed several portfolios from 2008 until 2011. 

Matt received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The Ohio State University in 2007.  Matt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, awarded to him in August 2012.
